This listing is for a rivet tool made from a TWO INCH C clamp. It has been
modified to fit an 1/8 diameter rivet. The screw end has been cut concave to
fit the dome of the rivet head. The base has a special hardened anvil that will
flare the rivet. I have removed the excess material around the base of the tool.
C-clamp tools are easier to use if you place the tool in your bench vise. NOTE any C clamp style rivet tool works by pushing and twisting on the head.
This may cause circular scratches or scuff marks on the head. If you don't want
scuff marks on the head. I recommend you purchase my rivet tool set for a bench
vise.

To get a nice even flare with a tight fit. The rivet should not stick through
the hole more than 1/16 of an inch. For wheels 3/32 is the ideal length to have
sticking out the hole. Some times a rivet will need shortened to obtain the
correct clinching amount. Drill the tubular end of the rivet deeper with a #43
drill bit. Then shorten the rivet using a file or Dremel tool with a 409 cut
off wheel. Add a map to your own listings. FREE Trial!
